#WeAreNATO: The Alliance’s Efforts to Advance Women, Peace and Security

To celebrate NATO’s 70thanniversary,Women in International Security Canada (WIIS-Canada) hosted a conference in Toronto on March 27th, 2019 at the Royal Canadian Military Institute. The WIIS-Canada conference highlighted the alliance’s efforts to advance the Women, Peace and Security (WPS) agenda, an area in which Canada has displayed a strong leadership role.

As part of NATO’s 70th anniversary, WIIS-Canada published policy papers and blogs on themes related to gender equality, gender mainstreaming and the Women, Peace and Security agenda that can be consulted here.

 A series of videos, produced by Victoria Heath, interviewed members of the civil society and asked them “Why does NATO matter?”
