WIIS Canada is proud to announce it’s 10th Annual Workshop, to be held in Montreal May 17-19.
Our Annual Workshop provides an opportunity for the next generation of international security experts to present their work to an audience of scholars and practitioners, and to receive mentoring and leadership training. To mark our 10th anniversary, our theme is “The Next Generation of Women Leaders”. We have an exciting program lined up and we welcome submissions from graduate students who seek to present their work and take part in our workshop. See the full call for papers below.

About the Women in International Security - Canada Annual Workshop
The workshop program is articulated around three main activities to train the next generation of security and international affairs experts: topical panels and roundtables, networking opportunities, and skill-building seminars. Each student participant will also be paired with a mentor, a senior-level professional with similar topical interests from academia, government, the private sector, the military, or a non-governmental organization.
This project offers a rejoinder to typical conferences in the field that are highly gender imbalanced. While we welcome participants of any gender, this workshop emphasizes the work of women in the field of international security in an effort to challenge the male-dominated status quo.
